The Goosey is Grown!

Our little Lucy Goosey turned one on Monday, January 28. My how this year has flown by. It's just amazing to think that a year ago she was just being born and so itty bitty! Now she is a big girl, with 8 teeth, running around, and wreaking havoc! :)
We had Lucy's first birthday party at our house on Saturday, January 26th. It was madness! Actually, the party was a lot of fun and the kids had a great time. We set up the playroom and the dining room/living room as a play area for the kids to go crazy. We had tents, tunnels, a ball pit, a trampoline, and lots of musical toys. I think all 16 (yes, I said 16) kids thorougly enjoyed themselves. There was lots and lots of food, yummy cake, and a fun star cake for Lucy to tear into. I think she had a good time with that! We really appreciated everyone coming and celebrating her first birthday with us. It made the day that much more special!

Then on Lucy's actual birthday we went to Kiddie Kandids and had her birthday pictures taken. I wasn't sure how that was going to go seeing as how she had barely napped, I had to wake her up, and Tyler was accompanying us to the shoot. But, Lucy being the pro that she is, did a great job and smiled her pretty smile and posed wonderfully. It's hard to believe she's one!

Our Trip to Arizona

Zach, Jenn, Tyler, and Lucy took their first airplane ride as a family to sunny Arizona to visit Matt, Michelle, and baby Joseph. What an experience that was! It was wonderful to see the Molinari family, but it would have been more wonderful if we could find a way to teleport ourselves and skip the travel altogether. The kids did fairly well...probably better than Mom and Dad!

Tyler's favorite part of the whole trip (besides Auntie Michelle and Uncle Matty) was riding the train at the park. We rode it two times, but I think he would have ridden it all day, every day if he could have. He wanted to ride in the caboose the second time we were on the train and he really loved that. We found that the train hides in the tunnel at nighttime and one morning we were there early enough to watch the train "wake up" and come out of the tunnel. The engineer blew the whistle for Tyler as he chuffed on by. I'd have to say that Lucy liked the train quite a bit too.

We got some good pictures of Zach and the kids bonding. We fed ducks at the duck pond, expolored the waterfalls, and followed the train tracks.

Of course we also did some sisterly bonding with Michelle! And the kids had a chance to get to know their cousin Joseph Michael.

After the trip we were all pooped...

Tyler Starts Pre-School

Tuesday, January 8th was Tyler's first day of preschool. We decided to enroll him in a part-time program at Busy Bees Preschool. His friend Haley goes there too, so we thought that would help him want to go. He did so good! The teacher said he was very polite and helpful and he had so much fun. Whoo-hoo! That makes Zach and I very happy. We were reluctant to send him because he has been so adamant that he doesn't want to go to school. But, when we told him they had paint he changed his mind.

He told me yesterday that they could teach him to spell, but that they wouldn't need to teach him how to spell his name. T-Y-L-E-R. Very cute. A boy puked in his class and he also told me what it looked like and what the kid had for lunch. Not very cute.

Who's Your Daddy?

Barbara sent me this picture of Zach when he was two years old. I think you can tell who he's related to!

Happy New Year!

We hope everyone had a VERY Merry Christmas a Happy New Year. We had a great time spending 11 days together as a family. I say great, but what I really mean is hectic, tiring, and lots of fun. We took the kids to the snow, we went on a bike ride on the American River Bike Trail, we visited with family and friends and we hung out at home quite a bit (kind of rare for Jenn to do that!), and played with A LOT of toys.

We had a really nice time together and now we get back to the grind. The new year is here and it's back to our same 'ole routine. Here are some pictures of our fun times.
