Busy Bees Harvest Festival

Lucy has been waiting a long time to attend Busy Bees and be the student attending the school's events. And not just a sibling. On October 21st she got her first chance with the school's Harvest Festival. The kids sang two songs for the parents and then went outside to decorate pumpkins, eat goodies, and various other activities. It was VERY cute to see Lucy in her element without her big brother to follow or emulate. She has her own friends and she seems so comfortable at Busy Bees.

My Lil' Pumpkins

It's a tradition! Every year we go to the same ranch at Apple Hill to look for pumpkins, but this year the patch was a little different. And a lot more crowded! We had a good time picking out our pumpkins and buying sweet goodies. Here's our family photo... She picked out a BIG one!
He's pretty strong for a little guy...The cutest pumpkins in the patch!I love these little munchkins so much. Especially when they are sitting still and behaving...I just couldn't resist adding this picture. I was trying to get a picture of her with her hair bow in and she was making all kinds of silly faces. This one, though, was the most precious. How could you NOT love that face?!
Happy Halloween!

Proud of My Lil' Bulldog

We had our first parent/teacher conference on Wednesday with Tyler's kindergarten teacher. We figured that Tyler was doing well, but you just never know so we were excited to experience "the conference." The teacher had very complimentary things to say about our little Bubba and he was excelling in most of the areas that they tested him in. Whoo-hoo! He does, however, like to blurt out the answers in class and not raise his hand. Hmmm...sounds kind of like his Dad. He is also very social and chatty. Hmmm...sounds kind of like his Mom. Tyler is doing well in kindergarten and we are so proud of him. So, so proud.

The Apples of My Eye

One lazy Sunday afternoon we took a trip to Apple Hill with Auntie Michelle and Baby Anna. We were really just looking for an excuse to eat some apples slathered in caramel and spend some time together. We chose to go to Abel's Acres and it was such a good choice. The apple farm wasn't that busy at all and we were able to take advantage of a few things. We took a few pictures of the kids posing in the picture spots.
The kids haven't ever ridden on a pony and since there was NO line we decided to go for it. In the past the kids have been too little or too scared to ride the ponies, but this time they were all for it. Here is Tyler with his pony Blacky.

And Lucy rode on Macintosh
The kids also wanted to run through the maze. Lucy made it about 5 minutes before she freaked out and needed me to help her find her way out.
Here is a pre-pumpkin patch picture. When we go for real the kids will be wearing their coordinating pumpkin clothes. This is just a warm up for the cute pictures to come from the patch. Don't you want to just 'em up? The kids...not the pumpkins!
