During the school year the kids were able to earn a free ticket to Six Flags Discovery Kingdom by reading six hours. Aria, Lucas, and Tyler all earned them, so we took a little trip to the Bay Area. Lucas hitched a ride in our car and we took off! We were the first to arrive, so we took a picture in front of the fountain.
While we were waiting for the others to arrive the kids picked the boat ride as the first ride of the day. A water ride!
And after the ride...
We had time to ride quite a few rides in the kiddie area before Mat, Brooke, Aria, Matea, Emi, Rachel and Colby arrived. The kids chose the swings, so we started off the day wet AND dizzy.

It was a long day, but we had TONS of fun. It was a great way to get ready for back to school a week later. We stopped for Chevy's on the way home and ended our day with chips and salsa. Yum!
