Happy St. Patrick's Day

Tyler's preschool has an event each month that the parents can participate in. This month is was a treasure hunt for gold and gold coins. A leprechaun left it in the play yard for the kids. They were given some crazy green hats to wear and all looked so cute.

Here is Tyler in his cute green hat.

These are Tyler's bestest friends at school...Corbin, Payton, and Enrique.

Happy 3rd Birthday Quillan!

February is Quillan's birthday month. We were excited to see our niece turn three. She's getting so big! We attended her birthday party this month and the kids had such a great time with their cousin.
Happy Birthday Quillan Jo

Hit that pinata!

(Her feet were squeezed into the jelly shoes Lucy wore to the party. They used to be Quillan's and I think she remembered them as her own. Her poor toes!)

Tyler was so patient and wanted to WHACK that Flounder.

Even Lucy got in on the action...

Silly Kids!

I have some really silly kids. I have no idea where this comes from. Zach and I are VERY serious people and we never have any fun at all.

I haven't done an update in awhile and we have some new pictures, so this will be the first of a few posts about February and the goings on in the Guthmiller household.

First, we have dress up night. Well, Lucy dresses up and Tyler dresses down...

Then we have fun in our pajamas. The best part are the socks.

Lucy LOVES her click clacks. Loves them so much, in fact, that wearing one pair just isn't enough. I guess it makes more noise when you have two pairs.

Lucy ADORES her dollhouse. She has fun playing with the dolls and tucking them in. I think Tyler has fun destroying the dollhouse. Something about dinosaurs attacking...

Why? Because I Said So!

Lucy is in the "why?" stage right now. I do not remember this happening so soon. I thought it wasn't until at least 2 1/2. Oy. Every time I say something to Lucy she answers with, "Why?" So, I answer that question and she wants to know why again. It really could go on and on, so when I get tired I just say because and that answer seems satisfactory. Go figure...

Lucy Kisses...You've Gotta Earn Them

Mommy: Lucy, can I have a kiss please?
Lucy: Cry Mommy.
Mommy - Pretends to pout and cry.
Lucy - Gives Mommy a much coveted kiss.
Lucy: You don't have to cry anymore, Mommy.

Snow in El Dorado Hills!

On Friday the 13th I woke up in the wee hours of the morning and forced the dog to go outside and pee. She wouldn't go alone, so I dragged myself (barefoot) out with her and got rained on. It was freezing and I snuggled back into bed and woke up really late! But, I woke up to this beautiful white goodness...what a shock...

We don't get snow much at our house, so it was fun to watch it fall (pretty heavily) and then get up and go play in the inch or two that we had. Lucy had never really played in the snow before. We had taken her when she was just one, but she didn't really "get" it. She got it this time! Both kids were excited to sled down a hill in our yard, made snow angels, and even tasted the snow. It was a great morning!

The snow only stayed for a few hours, but what a great memory!

Lucy Celebrates Two

Happy 2nd Birthday Lucy Jane!
For Lucy's birthday we got her a brand new kitchen. Jenn picked the kids up from Grandpa's house and took them to frozen yogurt. All the while, Zach was at home setting up the kitchen so it would be ready to surprise the Goose when we got home. She was so excited to see her present! She ran right in and made some hot dogs, hamburgers, and tea.

What a Fancy Party Coat! She Just HAD to Try Everything On

Lucy had a really good time (despite being sick) celebrating her birthday with her family and friends. Even though she did have to share the opening of her presents with her older brother and her cousin. We still can't believe Lucy is two...even though we have the presents and left over cake to prove it.
